Submitted by APS_techsupport on Wed, 11/13/2013 - 07:59

Shared from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and NetSmartz:

1. Children are going online at younger and younger ages. This infographic from Common Sense Media shows a rise in young children's use of mobile devices, mostly to play games and use apps.

2. Not all parents give their young children access to the Internet. This mom wasn’t so thrilled that her toddler was playing with an iPad at preschool.

3. Internet time = screen time, which experts have long warned about for young children. Read this pediatrician's tips for parenting the touchscreen generation.

Hello and welcome to the Warrior Guidance Blog! I plan to share helpful sites and calendar information for parents and students attending Adair High School. So please check back weekly for the most up to date information.

EOI Retakes: Adair HS will offer students who were not successful on their Spring EOI exams a retake opportunity on December 2nd and 3rd. Teachers are working with those students now to give our students the best strategies for passing.

Native American Scholarships: On December 11th a Cherokee Nation representative will be in the Library starting at 10 am to explain the scholarship process to 11th and 12th grade NA students.

Financial Aid: There is a great resource provided by The Oklahoma State Regents OCAP office. There are FAFSA timelines and links, ideas, STIPEND available for a college countdown event and much, much more.
